About TOAST

TOAST is the result of a collaboration between the Graduate Information Literacy Program (GILP) and the Research Student Development Centre (RSDC). The purpose of TOAST is to support graduate students to determine their skill level and training needs in a number of areas, and to provide a measure of how their skills level changes over time.

TOAST is organised into a number of loaves, or topic areas. Each loaf consists of a number of slices. Each slice is a collection of related questions. Questions are typically multiple choice, and the user's answers determine their skill level and the recommended training.

Staff can become toasters -- privileged users are able to create slices and set questions within them. Contact the email address below to request toaster status.
